If you suffer from indigestion or heartburn regularly it may be a good idea to keep track of when you are suffering, what you were doing at the time and what symptoms you suffered from. This may help your doctor or pharmacist diagnose what brings on your symptoms and may highlight a need to adapt your lifestyle to avoid or lessen the occurrence of indigestion and heartburn.

For example – if indigestion is brought on when you eat certain foods you may just have to avoid these foods, or eat in moderation, to reduce or eliminate your symptoms.

To help you get started, print off the diary below and record details of your symptoms every time you suffer from indigestion or heartburn. It is best to write down as much information as possible as this will give you a clearer picture of why you are suffering.
